Note for guests traveling by car from Pennsylvania and points due east: Most GPS programs will take you across northern Ohio via I-80. This is the quickest route, but tolls add up to about $25 through Ohio / Indiana and there is an addition $4 toll when you’re crossing eastbound from Ohio into PA.
You can cut out these tolls by taking I-70 to Indianapolis, then taking I-465 around Indianapolis to I-65 and picking up I-80 in northern Indiana. This route is about 75 miles longer (depending how far north your starting point is) but may be more desirable for people who don’t mind trading a longer journey for some monetary savings.
You can also take US-30 through Ohio, but we have never tried this route so we cannot vouch for it.
Also, be advised that there are tolls on many interstates in the Chicagoland area and there are some unmanned tollbooths. The directions from the Church to the reception hall included in your invitation avoid these toll roads. You are free to drive on the interstates, but bring along some dollars and cents for when you get to a toll plaza!
*I-Pass and E-ZPass are accepted in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Additionally, there are reduced tolls for I-Pass & E-ZPass users.
